About us
MALTESERKREUZ FILM is a young independent production company based in Frontenhausen in Lower Bavaria. Thomas Bauer started the company at the start of 2017 to support the production of ondependent and low-budget films by acting as cameraman and producer. MALTESERKREUZ FILM not only develops its own film ideas, but also supports creative young talents in the fields of screenwriting, directing and acting, who are newcomers to the industry from outside the film school system and who may often lack the relevant technical resources and equipment.
By the way, the German name MALTESERKREUZ FILM does not refer to the well-known German aid organization, but rather to the so-called Maltese cross (Geneva drive) gear, which ensured the stepwise transport of the film in movie projectors for over 100 years.
